From the Pastor’s Heart…

Thank you so much for your expressions of appreciation during Staff Appreciation month. The food, cards, kind words, and love gift were a blessing to my family and me. I am so glad that the Lord led me to pastor Covenant. These have been some of the best years of my ministry. I have never felt more love and support from a group of people than I do from you. Thank you again for the support that you give to my ministry here. I look forward to many more years of serving the Lord together.

Construction of our education building is in full swing. That means that we will have to make some minor adjustments in the way we move around our campus. I want to share several ways that you can help us make a smooth transition in the way we do things as we enter and leave church each week.

Image of Dr. Brassell

First, our north parking lot will not be accessible due to construction. Please do not drive or walk through the construction area. This is for your safety. We do not want anyone to get injured because they have ventured into an unsafe place.

Second, we are reserving most of the south parking lot for our senior adults. This will allow them easier access to the building. Those who are able will use the new parking area in the northeast section of our property. You can enter the building through the door on the east side. (That is the entrance in the back of the gymnasium.)

Third, drive slowly and with caution around our property as we get adjusted to a new way of maneuvering around our facilities. More of our people will be using the new drive to the north to access the new parking area. We need to make sure that we do not block the drive behind our building because it will now become a major thoroughfare getting to the new parking area.

I know that these changes will be somewhat inconvenient for a few months. Thank you for working with us to make this as painless as possible. Your patience, cooperation, and sweet spirit are a blessing to me and a good testimony to our community.

The week of prayer for North American Missions begins today. I hope that you will set aside some time during each day this week to remember our North American missionaries. This years theme is “Live with Urgency.” Ask God to help us live with a sense of urgency as we share the gospel. We should also pray about our gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American missions. I hope that you will share a generous gift on Ingathering Sunday, March 21.
